Payroll Link Option
The !Trak-It Link payroll interface is an extra cost option that establishes a link between payrolls and the !Trak-It HR Human Resource Management System. This allows those who use both !Trak-It HR and the corresponding payroll to eliminate redundant data entry by automatically passing new employee information, employee changes and employee updates from the payroll system to and from !Trak-It HR.

How the !Trak-It Link works
After a payroll run is completed, a standard ASCII file is generated from within the payroll system. This file is then transferred to the !Trak-It HR data sub-directory via disk, network or modem. The !Trak-It Link is then run, accessing the ASCII data and converting it to the !Trak-It HR database format. Once the conversion is complete, optional reports can be generated listing all the new hires, terminations and salary differences. The program will then, if desired, update the !Trak-It HR databases, creating the appropriate job history records for salary changes and adding all the available information as part of the creation of the New Hire records.
Before processing each payroll, the data is loaded into !Trak-It HR. An export file is then created from within HR, creating an update file that is imported into the payroll system before proceessing timecards or transactions. In this way, if the payroll is able to import data, all changes made in the HR system can be automatically transferred to the payroll including changes such as pay, address, department, status and benefits.
Cost effective solution
The Link can import and export data between payroll and !Trak-It HR and is an excellent, cost-effective way to both initialize the !Trak-It HR databases and maintain changes with a single point of data entry. It can be used as an on-going tool to update both payroll and !Trak-It HR databases.
